Sometimes I get busy planning engaging lessons, if the schedule is not updated below. Click on the above schedule to see a unit plan.
12/3We collected duckweed data, turned in the reading guide for 205-218. Time was given to work on our case studies and ask questions. Case study presentations will begin on Friday, 12/7
FOR NEXT CLASS: Work on Population Case Study Practice Pages for review for population Quiz Next Class!! 11/29We discussed population policies in different countries through the articles we read for homework. We collected duckweed data, and the next case study on population dynamics of a country was introduced.
FOR NEXT CLASS: SBS Reading and Guide pages 205-218 11/27We set up our duckweed experiments, turned in planning portion of duckweed, and looked at world population and resource distribution by dividing up a sheet cake.
FOR NEXT CLASS: Read population policy articles and come up with two things each country should focus on in it's population policy. 11/14We finished the population pyramid analysis questions and talked about the demographic transition model. We read the Ehrlick article about population and consumption. The duckweed lab was introduced and we brainstormed questions.
FOR NEXT CLASS: -Come in ready to start planning your Duckweed lab, have a question and think about how you will conduct it. -DO the Online Population Models worksheet (it will take about 40 minutes) 11/8We set up bird feeders around Tualatin's campus, discussed the NYT and Scientific American articles.
FOR NEXT CLASS: Complete your Population Pyramid 11/6We completed the population structure notes and worked on the exponential growth activity.
FOR NEXT CLASS: Read Scientific American and NYT articles, highlight 3-5 quotes. Be ready to discuss the articles. Finish Exponential growth activity |
