4/22Happy Earth Day! In ESS everyday is Earth Day!
Today we discussed the trip and looked at results. We tied up loose ends and turned in work including: The MSY article and talked about MSY. We talked about the Green Revolutions and turned in practice pages. And discussed the pros and cons of GMOs vs. Not-GMOs, and Sustainable vs. Industrial Agriculture. (Come in and look over posters to see what you missed.) HOMEWORK: Study Guide for Soil and Ag Standard 3-4 (Test on Monday 4/29) 4/18FIELD TRIP DAY!

We filled feeders and collected data and then worked on practice pages and reading a Mark Bittman article on sustainable agriculture.
HOMEWORK: P. 11 in your packet. OX: 253-260 and NYT Tilapia Article (Linked below on the right) 4/1Today we turned in our Standard 2 Assessment. We took the Ag Resources Day 1 Notes on page 5 in your purple packet and talked about different agriculture systems. We filled feeders and had time to work on Bird ID Packets with field guides in classroom or to retake standards.

Collected bird data and filled feeders and worked on review for standard 1 test.

We filled bird feeders, and got 12 new birds to ID and study. (check birds page for powerpoint on Spring Birds). We then worked on finishing the Soil Lab.
